Ms Swanner,

Let me begin by saying I really don't know if the fisheye works for this image.
I get my best results shooting landscapes from f8-f11 and use Hyperfocal Distance – Photographer’s Friend unless I'm purposefully trying something different.
For me the pump jack seems underexposed and to dead center in the frame for me. It looks like you were shooting at mid day since I don't see any shadows around the jack.

Golden hours are a landscape/cityscape artist best friend.

By the way...quit hogging the clouds out there. We had some rain last week, but otherwise clear blue skies.
Keep gettin' after it.

My two cents worth. I think it's a great main subject but I agree that the fisheye perspective might not be appropriate for the composition. What might have worked is using your lens at the long end (15mm) and get really close to the ground...like 3 inches from the ground...looking up at it. Also, I also agree that golden hour light would really set this one off. Low horizon sunlight has a way of really making rusty objects pop.

But I understand why you went fisheye...new lens...gotta try it out. Good for you! Fisheyes can be a blast!
