Hi all,
First post in the critique section. To be honest I have quite a few pictures I'd like a little input on, but I'll take my time instead of spamming the entire section .This one was taken last summer in Vietnam. I realize the jpeg compression makes ugly artifacts and uneven gradients; please assume that the full-res, no compression image doesn't have these faults (actually you may be able to see the proper image here). ISO: 200 Exposure: 1/800 s Aperture: 8.0 Focal: 250mm Any comments? I was trying to capture the depth of the scene through the increasingly misted tops, while keeping some perspective through the boat. Thoughts?

Honestly? The picture was dual-chrome anyway: green and gray (sky was overcast so the sea was kind of gray as well). I figured I might as well go with black and white to bring out the contrast between the different layers.

I like it. The B&W emphasizes the contours of the landscape and the boat on the right side balances the composition. Good job!

Yep, this is a pretty good image, and you can definitely sense the depth!
