Default Sunset over Street

I took this last night after work. It is straight out of the camera.

I think if you edited it, you might be able to make the colors look a bit more dramatic.

I don't like the street. It is really dark and I find it distracting since I can't really see details.

Do you have specific questions about your photo?

I'm a bit unhappy with your chosen exposure. It's so bright that the sky is partially blown out but not bright enough to bring out a lot of details in the foreground.

I don't really have any specific questions. I think I'm at a point in my photography where I'm done thinking my works is good and I'd like to have feedback from other photographers.

I was trying to make the foreground almost a silhouette in front of the sky while having enough street visible to tell that it's there.

Would the street be more or less distracting to you if it were totally dark black and the foreground were a silhouette in front of the sunset?

Would either of you have preferred foreground detail like in this shot?

It's obviously a different shot but it's an example.

No

You could try a HDR the next time you're in a similar situation. I'd like to see the sky with a darker exposure, for me it's just too bright now.

I gotcha. I ran it through Lightroom and I still have my street but the sky is darker and a lot more detailed. Is this the kind of thing you're talking about?
