I think this is a real nice shot. I like the locational elements and composition. Only thing I might do is give it a bit more focus on your main interest by selectively brightening that area a bit. I am thinking it would be the buildings but you could probably do the trees and get a similar effect. I wouldn't do both. Cool shot.

Zona, I have no idea what you are talking about.....unless you mean increase contrast for more moody in which case I think DARKENING non focal areas would be better. The lighting is pretty good as is for "the subject". I might add grain/texture for "moody".

I find it a decent picture, not boring and getting close to the "moody and atmospheric" goal.
Bigger issue is it's too soft...why were you at f/4.5?

SK66 Thanks for the comments. I was shooting hand-held and it was quite windy so didn't want to go any slower with the shutter speed so had to open up the aperture to get a better exposure. I might try another day with a tripod.

Thanks,
Andy

I think the exposure is ok on my monitor and I actually like the darker feel to it, although I also like Bruce's lighter interpretation as a variation. The tower is more prominent in Bruce's edit which I do think needs it.

I think the issue is that the vignette is just too strong and overpowering. The crop is ok, but to me, it feels just a little too tight. I think this scene just needs just a little bit more breathing space and even just easing off on the vignette alone would help it.

I think you need more dramatic clouds to give the scene more drama.
