Contrasting textures. Best in B&W?

I really liked the contrast between the stone chimmney and the pine boards. This house has log, stone and plank construction as time went on and it was expanded, even has red brick chimmney on the other side!
Been past this place for years and finally got to stop.
I have a couple of other shots of this place on Flickr for comparison and placement, located just south of Hatch, UT on US 89.
Any improvements?

I looked at the other ones on your flickr page and I liked the b/w one with the house and the sky better than this one. In this one the contrast is taken away a bit because of the b/w editing. I think I would have liked to see this in color. But that's just my opinion.

By the way, love the one of the house in color too. Very nice colors indeed.

Thanks for the input. I'll try dialing it down. Also, I didn't notice until now, I should have adjusted the lens distortion!
I don't have that shot in color, but will upload one of that side of the house in color.

Actually, the thing I first noticed was that the window on the left is cut off. I can't decide whether you should cut it out or include all of it, but seeing just half of it bugs me.

It also looks like the colors on the stone are on the verge of being blown out. I would consider reshooting this when there is less dynamic range, like closer to sunset or on a cloudy day. I looked at a histogram of your image and you have clipping on the dark and light ends of the spectrum.
