Default Cathedral HDR

HDR Cathedral

This is my first HDR image so I decided to do the St. Louis Cathedral. I used Lightroom3 to merge the pictures.

Taken with a Canon Rebel XTi and 3 different exposures. Does the coloring look right and how can I reduce the halos?

Didn't know you could merge images in Lightroom?

Looks pretty good, but you do have some slight halos above the curved parts of the building.

How would you recommend fixing the halos? Just dodging them maybe?

I struggle sometimes with those fine adjustments. I have the same problem sometimes using layer masks. I think I would try burning the sky or maybe try the clone tool. There is a slight gradient in the sky that is going to make this more difficult. I found that I have to play around with the Density and Opacity settings the closer I get to the actual edge where the buildings meet the sky. I usually will have to make my cursor size smaller.

Maybe someone who knows more about PP can offer a better suggestion?
