A focal point really helps a lot. Otherwise, the eye doesn't have anything to settle on. A graduated neutral density filter will help reduce the brightness of the sky relative to the ground when you have a large dynamic range in a shot like this one. Or you can bracket your shots and blend the exposures or try HDR.

The scene is fantastic I must say but I think the bright sky on the right spoil everything. The scene is already warm, so no issue with the WB here. Might not be possible I assume? The row of rocks in the foreground is kinda blocking the greenery in the background, maybe move a bit to the left, take in a bit less of the row of rocks or cliff? and more of the greenery in the back?
I think HDR is perfect in this kind of situation. |

I was trying to use the rock face to use as a leading line back into the the next mountain. I think this just might be an example of not knowing what im doing.
I did like the rays of sunshine coming into the right side of the picture, but I do see the over-expousre. Maybe I will get back and try again some day! Thanks for the input!
