Default "Swift" - YAMLEP*

*Yet Another Monochrome Long-Exposure Photograph

This image avoids the shoreline altogether, and instead focuses on the current flow and direction. Does the left-to-right, top-to-bottom directional comp work for you? How about b/w conversion? Any other thoughts you have that can add to the discussion are always welcome.

Critiquer challenge: If you critique regularly, and haven't posted any of your own in the last few weeks or so, I challenge you to do so now.

I like the comp, I also like the direction, exposure and b&w conversion. Not much comes to my mind that could have been done better. Btw, I upload almost every photo I take that's worth showing to others, and that just illustrates how little photos I take.

P.S. Is it correct to say "how little photos"? It's the only thing that comes to my mind, but it sounds a bit wrong.

I really like this shot. Which I had some critique for you I just can't think of anything I'd change. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the comments, Milos. Your English is much better than my Bosnian, btw. When something is plural (more than one), you say "few" of that thing. In your case, you would say "how few photos". Alternately you can say "there are fewer photos." Other examples:

Fewer cameras
Fewer lenses
Fewer pixels

But if it's all considered one thing, then you can use the word "less". Example:

Less water
Less grass
Less hair

Hopefully that makes sense!

Yeah, it does! Thanks! I just hope I'll remember this for the next time. Because, this is one of the rare cases where my English instinct doesn't kick in.

A lot of native English speakers get that one wrong. I hear it all the time where people use "less" when they should say "few", and vice versa. I probably do it myself sometimes.
