I think the trees are getting in the way of what could have been a very nice picture. Sometimes tree branches can frame a shot, but here I think they just distract from it.

If you could get there at the right time of year, will the sun set behind the lighthouse? Right now, my eye is confused as to where to focus. On the sun or on the lighthouse. If you could get the two together as one focal point, I think that would be great.

First of all, the composition is exceptional. Well framed by the trees, and the walkway leads me right to your subject. Mmm-mmm. I just wish it weren't a silhouette. This would be a perfect time to blend some different exposures of this scene so we can see more detail int he walkway and lighthouse.
