I'm looking to improve my landscape photos and would love some constructive criticism!

Nice capture. A couple of points for you to consider:
1. The rule of thirds is nice, but in this composition it leaves a large upper left area which is oddly blank, and quite noisy. Perhaps a lower angle on the tree and foliage below would give you a more dramatic silhouette? Additionally, did you post-process something out of that left upper corner? 2. Personally, I would have positioned myself to get the sun behind the tree and avoid the hot yellow ball and flare that accompanies it on the tree. 3. Maybe a bit too much on the red? Seems to my eye that even the blacks have a slight red hew, and aren't as deep and rich as they could be. But I could be wrong. As I said though, nice. Cheers, emtab |

Thanks for the feedback! Nothing was post processed out of the corner, but I can see why you think it looks empty. As for the reds, looking back it may be a tad overkill. I personally like the seeing the sun instead of it being behind the tree (I took one with and without it behind the tree) but I guess it's just personal preference. Anyways, thanks again for the feed back, I really appreciate it!
