Default Let me lead you

Hi there...
Here is a shot that i took a few weeks ago. This shot was taken in Scotland somewhere near Fort William. During the trip, i dont have much time to spend on each location and wait for the best moment to appear and capture it. I went there by group and we just make a quick stop on each location. Somehow i really love the composition of this picture, but i personally think that the color and sky isnt that great. I would like to know what others think about his picture. Do comments based on the composition, colors and exposure.

Thanks for viewing. Cheers..

I like the leading line in your image. The exposure does look a little uneven, probably because part of the scene was in the sun and part was in a shadow. Shooting closer to sunset should even that out. I do see a light band in the sky - I'm not sure if that's from your PP. The color of the sky looks okay to me. You could try a levels adjustment and set the white and black points to try to get a little more "pop" in the colors on the ground. I think someone on the path would give a good focal point.

I like the use of the path as a leading line. I like the fact that you timed the shot to have the end of the path sunlit as well, which also leads your eye into the photo.

There isn't enough interesting going on in the sky to make it a focus of attention. I think it would work better with either more or fewer clouds, but sometimes you get what you get.

It looks like there's some sort of structure along the path, but at the focal length and position you shot from, I can't tell what it is. I don't think it's doing your shot any favors.

I think the biggest thing that's missing (and that you might have been able to do something about when shooting) is that you don't have any real foreground interest. The path helps, but I'd really like to see a hiker or an interesting rock, or a wildflower, or something in the near foreground to give interest and a sense of scale.
