Default Dinner Time

Nikon D90...f\5.6...ISO 400...Exposer 1\500

I am still learning about DOF. Not to mention everything else...I wanted the background to be in focus this time and tried to make the picture look old. I wanted to fram the window better. I there anything I could have done better making the picture look more authentic. How is the DOF.

thank you

The DOF leads my eyes straight to the sugar, salt & pepper shakers, and the candle. The leaves in the window are not in focus. How much of the background were you wanting in focus? What specifically would you like to draw my attention to in the photo?

It looks like you wanted to keep the sugar packets, salt & pepper shakers and the candle in focus, so I'll assume that is your subject. If so, I would prefer an unobstructed view. I'm not sure what you meant by "frame the window better."
