Default Oregon Coast from Oregon Dunes

Looking for some feedback on this shot from the Oregon Coast this summer.

I liked the lines in it and that's why I took it, but trying to figure out if this shot has anything else good about it (which I don't think it does) and whats bad about it (was it even worth taking??? Is it just another amateur beach shot?)

Oregon Coast

Exposure 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture f/10.0
Focal Length 21 mm
ISO Speed 100

I would do more sand less sky..even maybe shoot from the ground, come down to F16 or even 20, get the texture of the sand to pop out more.

Ideally, you could take this shot in the golden hours when you have some clouds in the sky. Unfortunately, blue sunny skies are not that interesting in photography.

I think the image lacks a focal point, so my eye has nothing to settle on. It would be nice if you could include some rocks or shells as foreground interest.

I think f/10 is fine. If you go much smaller than f/13, you may start to get diffraction, which degrades the sharpness.

Great colors, contrast, and exposure. My one suggestion would be to crop the sky so that it only takes up the upper 1/3 of the image. It doesn't add much to the shot.

A couple more thoughts after looking at your shot again. I think you could have just dropped down lower and to the right so that those white objects (shell fragments?) are identifiable and can act as foreground interest. You'd probably have to take the shot about a foot above the sand. You could have then composed it as leviathan suggested with 1/3 sky.

Actually I quite like it -- it has a minimalist yin/yang quality to it ... very calming ...
