I am having a hard time taking my eyes off of the sky where the two tree lines meet. It took me a minute to find the girl. What if you cropped it down to the bottom of the V and took the sky out? The water is pretty and the river is drawing your eye through the picture.

I think the bright sky has caused the rest of the image to be underexposed, except for the whitewater. Your eye naturally goes to the lightest part of the image, but in this case, that does not include your subject, the girl. The fact that she is wearing dark clothing makes her even harder to notice. I think this would be a good candidate for exposure blending, since there was too much dynamic range to capture everything in one shot. I don't think a graduated neutral density filter would have worked here because of the uneven horizon. If the girl was easier to see, she would make a good focal point. That looks like a good scene for a shot, though.

It took me a minute to locate the girl also. She almost blends into the rock. I also think that cropping out the sky will help. The water looks really good and if you just view that lower part of the photo you can find the girl much quicker.
