Default Which would you choose?

Out of the 2 what would you rather?
How can I improve on on the edits?

hmm.. maybe U should go to "comparison" section.. there U can post 2 photos to compare, it will make the visitors easier to compare Ur different edited photos..

I like the Point Nepean 1 one better because of the color. The one posted above looks desaturated.

BTW - I love your IMG_5748 shot! Great job!

I think the picture could be more effective if you haven't made it as 50:50 sky vs land. I do not see much happening in the sky anyways. You can try to shift the focus a bit upper by removing some sky part.

- The horizon seem to be leaning towards left side, very slightly though.You can easily correct it.
- The house probably can take a lighter color (dodge it) to bring the focal point and you will have a wonderful picture

Just my 2 cents.

thanks for the comments guys,
NikD300 i went with what you said (just a rough edit)
I cropped out the sky out a bit and made it a bit darker and also used dodge on the machine gun barracks.
this is what i came out with

Sejeeee.... I like the effect on the house. I now have a focal point in the picture and adds nice contrast to the picture. However, I think you will too aggressive on removing the sky. The picture looks crippled with so little sky. Try to give more room may be a 60:40 would work nicely.
