Default Car Dealership Parking Lot

I drive thru this parking lot often and these lamps always caught my eye during misty days. I decided to take some pics tonight... it was challenging as I have to stand on the side of a highway across the dealership to take this pic. But, a car zipped by and left the streak of tail light at the bottom, which I thought added some nice color to the pic. I did some post processing with Aperture... played with the black levels and red and yellow saturation. Please let me know your thoughts.

It's an interesting, mysterious shot. I don't know if there is supposed to be some meaning here. You could play around with your white balance because the lights in the lot are giving a color cast to the cars. I don't know if that was your intention. Some of the lights are blown out as well. I'm not sure what else to say because I don't know if you were going for any specific feeling/effect here.

It isn't a particularly evocative image, I think that the red line does add some colour and interest, but the right hand side of the lot is too blown out to be an interesting part.

Also, the effect of the mist seems to be to knock the cars out of focus.

I would suggest either trying a crop to remove some of the black at the bottom and the blown out right-hand side, or, if you can re-shoot, try and get higher up as that front row of cars is too incomplete, as you can't see the bonnets (hood to our US friends).

I think given some work, a tripod, a slightly different approach with your shutter/aperture mix (sometimes getting the same exposure with a small aperture and longer shutter speed reduces the blow-out on the lights in shot, sometimes it works the other way) and most importantly a higher angle of view, you could have the interest you want in this shot.
