I took this shot by a little stream I found between two small businesses. I would like some help to figure if the exposer needs to be changed, and if you have any other comments about what I can do better they would be greatly appreciated.

You might have to practice holding the camera steady when you shoot, because I think you have some blur because of that. Shooting around 1/30 of a second is in the transition area where it becomes hard to hold the camera steady for a sharp image. I can't find any part of your image that looks in sharp focus.
I think the interesting part of your photo is the pattern of the moss between the rocks, but your composition also includes the little stream and the other bank. I'm not sure which one is your intended subject. I don't find the other parts of the image that interesting visually, so my eye tends to stay on the rocks and moss.

I think it's got great potential as a subject. If I were you I'd go back & take it again in loads of different types of light. Getting a crisp picture with those settings & no tripod is pretty much impossible. Did you get your feet wet?
