Hi
I took this today on Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK. It is the old Wheal Betsy Mine. I was about 100ft above it looking down at it from the road. Let me know what you think? ![]() Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture f/3.5 Focal Length 10.7 mm ISO Speed 64 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash Off, Did not fire |

I think your white balance is okay. I would look for an alternate composition where I can't see that road or path behind the mine. The mine might make a good B&W subject.

Here is a B&W copy of the photo.
![]() Any better?? I couldn't change the composition too much as I didn't have time to find my way to a different level - will have to go back and experiment when time allows?!! |

Well, I have to admit it doesn't look quite as good as I envisioned. I think the shot needs more pure blacks and whites to work better in B&W. When I made the B&W comment, I meant when you recompose the shot without the road/path in the background. I thought you would have to get closer to the mine to exclude the road/path from the shot and I thought you could try some B&W from the closer perspective. Sorry I didn't explain that better.
