I loved this shot in the viewfinder but it's just not popping the way I would like -- I particularly like the leaning tree on the right and all the rock formations -- I've darkened and lightened but I can't seem to get what I want ... I wanted the foreground rocks to have a noticeable impact on the photo but they don't seem to be working ... would you lighten them up a lot? Maybe just the whole right side needs lightening? Maybe it's just not sharp enough? Lost in pp land ...

If you don't mind, I took your image and did a Levels adjustment. All I did was set the black and white points. It might be hard to make the foreground rocks stand out when they're next to the whitewater.
Levels: Getting the Professional 'Pop'
