Default Composition/Color: The Fly in the Flower

Filename: fly.jpg
Camera: Canon
Model: Canon EOS REBEL T1i
ISO: 400
Exposure: 1/3000 sec
Aperture: 5.6
Focal Length: 49mm
Flash Used: No

The Orriginal File:

Spacific Questions:

A) did I crop it for proper composition. I want the fly as my subject, not the flower
B) I increased the color. Did I go to far?

Thank you

What a lovely photo! These flowers bloomed on every side of my home as a little girl. So I'm very partial to them.

I'm a new photo enthusiast... so I hope it's okay if I comment?

Color - I think the color is great - you didn't go too far for me

Cropping - I think I would have done the cropping a little different... I would have taken off more of that lovely blue bud in the upper left hand corner. It would have fought with myself over it cause it's gorgeous - sharp, colorful - but I would have done that to highlight the fly more.

Again, I'm new to this, so I'm not an expert.

Color looks fine to me. I'd recommend a tighter crop to focus attention on the fly, though your placement of the fly within the frame works pretty well.
