Default Power Balance at Sunrise

Shooting at sunrise is a new concept for me. I have done it a few times witih mixed results but I think this time it turned out pretty good. Critique with technical tips, and how to achieve richer colors would be appreciated.


Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T2i
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Shot at 28 mm
Exposure: Auto exposure, Not Defined, 1/21 sec, f/4, ISO 3200
Flash: Off, Did not fire
Focus: AI Focus AF, with a depth of field of from inf to 81.91 m.
AF Area Mode: Multi-point AF or AI AF
Date: June 20, 2011 4:59:35AM

I suppose maybe you couldnt help it based on your exif, but if you could have managed to shoot this with a lower iso you might have been able to avoid the grain in the sky. Was this shot with a tripod? Maybe try the same shot on a tripod using a longer exposure so you can turn that iso down. Just my $0.02

If you applied some effects in photoshop or lightroom to give the photo a vintage look, I think the grain could work.
