Default Lens Flare at Washington Monument

Hi all

I'm wondering about the flare and general composition and processing. Any comments, advice and help is greatly appreciated. It was a windy day and I tought the flags contrast might add interest.

Agree! I also like it, because it's thin and elegant just like the subject and it's actually pointing at the subject. Regarding processing, the sky is awkwardly uneven, ei. it's much darker around the flags. Also, red colour of the flags is too vibrant/too saturated. I think you can safely tone down the processing you did, using just good old curves, levels, and hue/saturation.

Thank you both for comments/critique. I did crank up the reds to compensate for the movement but, I agree, its a bit overdone. Not sure about the sky. I was using a polarizing filter and maybe not rotated to the right angle. Is that possible?

Really? Sorry, but, how's that suppose to work? Did you try sharpening it instead?

I like the flare, not too fond of the tilting though ... seems a little to the left ...
