Running by the lake

Was walking by a lake the other day. Nice warm day for my part of the world, anyhow

This runner was probably on his 3rd round around the lake. Had passed me and my wife on our walk, few times.

Anyway, what I'd like critique on is simple. Is this an interesting picture, or is it simply boring? If you think it is "boring", could it have been composed in a more interesting way?

So is the composition ok? Is the runner to far to the left?

Should the stones be more aligned to the middle of the picture?

Welcome to DPS. I think you have a decent shot, but there is something bugging me about it. I think it's the overexposed rocks that are distracting me, particularly those two in the middle of the shot. The eye naturally goes to the lightest areas in an image, which are the runner's shirt and those overexposed rocks.

Thanks for the comment. Regarding the overexposed rocks. This is actually the color of the rocks. And I did very little regarding the exposure of them. This was taken on a cloudy day.

But I understand your point about the distraction which has an effect on the overall picture.
