From a Sea Kayak trip last week in Kauai, Hawaii. P/S Sony. Did not want my Nikon to end up in the Ocean.

I feel I need to fix the haze. Always an issue in Hawaii due to humidity/rain. The spot on the left due to water drop on lens/smudge, Straighten a bit. Address clouds to increase contrast. Anything else?

You definitely need to take care of that water spot on the left. Increasing a contrast would free you from some haze. Brightening the shadows (the first hill) would also be good.

If you shot RAW, you should be able to produce a jpg where the hills on the left are correctly exposed. You can then use a layer mask to brighten those hills.

It's a good shot, but I think a focal point would help. If there was another kayak in the water with you, you could have used it as foreground interest/focal point.

Have you tried a polarizer to cut through the haze?
