Default Ufo invasion

Hello i captured this image it was the port of miami and those are the loading cranes and light poles that look like ufo's ,i saw the lightning and just snappeda quick shot not composing or anything and this is what i got when i loaded it at home.i think its a cool shot but there is a lot of dark space in the upper right corner would this be better cropped or is it ok to have negative space in your photos? suggestions?DSC_1506 Camera Nikon D7000

Default Negative is ok I think

I like the idea of the photo and could definitly see it working. I don't have a problem with dark areas of the image. Black and Whites often look better with dark areas. I would however say that if at all possible, you should try this image at a significantly slower shutter speed.

I think you could get a bit of colour in the sky and much more detail in parts of the image that would add some interest. Go the tripod, shutter release option and have some fun
