Default bridge over baspa river

I am trying to learn photography. This shot was taken in Rakchham, HP, India. My question is about the composition & placement of the bridge. Are they OK? Please suggest. Any other advice is also welcome.

Device: Nikon D3100
Lens: VR 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G
Focal Length: 18mm
Aperture: F/9
Shutter Speed: 1/4s
Exposure Mode: Manual
Exposure Comp.: 0EV
Metering: Matrix
ISO Sensitivity: ISO 100

I think the composition is fine. The image looks a little dark at the top which sort of hides the bridge a bit; did you use a NDGrad?.

I reckon if you correct the blue cast and do a bit of dodging to give it a bit of pop, it will look quite nice.

I agree with Darvidanoar. The composition is good, but if it wasn't so dark it would look much better and have a bigger impact. .

Default original one

Thanks for your comments. The original (out of camera) pic is attached. I had used ND4 filter to get that water flow effect. Tried to get sky color through PP. Seems it did not work. Do you think the original one is better?

P.S. Now I know that I should have posted in comparison section. Sorry about that.

I think the bright sky caused the ground to get underexposed. If you shot RAW or bracketed your shots, you could recover the underexposed ground. The problem with a dark subject like the bridge is that other, lighter colored objects attract you eye first. My eye goes to the water first, then the surrounding rocks. Your image is pretty busy and the bridge is almost an afterthought.
