Default My first panorama

Hey Guys,

I have been away for a bit between work and school. Anyway I got out the other night to do some fireworks shots, and ran across this skyline and couldn't resist. I took 12 shots and stitched them in photoshop. Please give me you honest critique, I am trying to improve everyday. I took this with my 25-45mm lens set at 35mm at f 8.0 and a shutter speed of 2.5 seconds on each image. I set the white balance to "cloudy" and had an ISO setting of 100. Please give me any tips or suggestions this is my first attempt at this type of work.

Thanks alot!!

This was your first attempt? @.@

It's incredible! Fantastic job on this. It's hard to see the details because of the compression, but it looks like you might have some haloing around the building lines. Possibly you could have taken it at a bit higher angle, and cut out some of the more shadowed areas along the bottom.

Still though, excellent shot!

It is very nice. I think changing the crop to loose the clipped shadows on the bottom would improve it. You will loose stuff on the left, but there is alot of lost detail.

For future, if you bracket the shots, you can merge them (like HDR) and maintain detail. It would involve taking 9x3 shots, but really makes it worth it.

Thanks for the tips. I made the bottom dark because it is a construction site. It is going to be our new casino. It looked horrible in the shot.

The skyline looks nice and it looks like you did a great job at stitching all the photos together. Only thing that keeps distracting me is the very dark portion of the photo on the bottom right.

Great shot, only, next time, get behind that construction site (or on one of those tree tops ) and take it from there.
