Hi guy, it is a picture taken of a stream with rocks and trees around.
I cannot remember the details about the exposure since it was recorded on film Shutter speed is around 1 second. Aperture: F11 ISO: 100 What do you think of the composition? is it too much going there? Colour? do you think the colour is too vibrant and saturated? Anything else I can improve? Thanks for all your input! velvia_stream013.jpg |

The exposure is quite good, as is the depth of field presented by whatever aperture you chose.
Over the rock in the right foreground are some branches hanging which seem to be grabbing my eye and distracting me from decerning a clear subject. Could you have moved, or removed those. Saturation is largely a matter of personal taste and while some may veiw this as overdone I think you pushed the limit without necessarily exceeding it. On balance a good picture George Canon 5d mkII |

Nice shot, but it does look oversharpened/saturated to me. I would suggest cropping some off the top because the vegetation behind the falls is distracting to me.

Thank you for the comment. Yes, the vegetation may seem distracting. Colour wise, the image actually has not been retouched. The picture was shot on Velvia 100, and I only changed the contrast a little bit. Maybe it is because of the vivid colour from the film. It is hard to shoot in colour than in B&W for me. Hard to get the colour right sometimes. ![]() Thanks again for the critique! |
