Default My First Photo Here

Hi All,

I am a learner and enthusiastic as well in photography. I am attaching one of the landscape photo that I have taken.
The EXIF and camera details are:

Canon EOS 550D (18-55 mm kit lens)

f-stop: f/10
Shutter Speed: 1/160 sec
ISO : 100
Focal Length: 27 mm


It will be great for novice photographers like me to read expert comments from best photographers like you..

Response highly appreciated.

Beautiful shot, exposure seems ok, colours are nice.

I think you could have panned your camera slightly to the right which would have created a more even flow for the eye up the pathway towards the main structure. (rule of thirds!)

Welcome to DPS. That's a nice subject. I would suggest having less sky in the shot because I don't think all that sky on the top is adding to the image. Also, I would suggest either moving more to either side to use either the path or the wall on the right as a leading line into the image.

I think it is a great shot, and looks like a really cool site.

I agree with the above comments, I think I would have panned more to the right, had the tower closer to the left frame.

I can see another shot too in this scene that may have been cool.

I would have taken a shot, low down at the bottom of the pathway, making the path a strong feature to lead the eye up to the tower. Would also given you the imprssion of looking up the path to the tower, giving the tower a more imposing effect in the photo.

You could have used different depth of field to bring an interesting focal point to one of the key points in the photo.

Your colours and exposure is pretty good.
