A few things I noticed from your EXIF data that I think could potentially improve the shot.
1.) You could try a smaller aperture like f/8 ish this will give you greater depth of feild as well as reduce the light coming into the sensor hopefully enabling you to expose more of the sky while salvaging as much of the forest as possible. 2.) Your iso speed seems kind of high for this much light I'd say 400 max, but you probably could even get away with dropping it to 200. Experiment with this and see what gives you a better exposed image Then again you could also keep these settings the same and try and increase your shutter speed to decrease the amount of light hitting the sensor. Manual mode is all about experimenting with various settings and finding what works for the shot you're trying to take so if you're in a location you think is picturesque then fire off a bunch of different shots using different apertures, iso speeds, focal lengths, and shutter speeds. Hopefully you'll find one that works and make a mental note of what it was and what kind of conditions where present when you took that shot. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I think you're going to have to zoom in a lot more to show small bugs flying around. I can't see any now. I was also wondering why your ISO is so high.
