Default Marina Magic Revisited

Hey guys, a while ago i posted a picture of my town marina for critique and got some good helpfull feedback. I have sent the last few months browsing the forums and others alike collecting as much information as i can to help both my photography and post processing technique.

Here is my Original Picture: Marina Magic

Unable to gain access to the marina until next month i had to make do with a similar composition but this time i had DPS forum knowledge on my side What do you guys think?

Am i on the right tracks? Any feedback is welcomed Positive or negative

Exif Data:

Bulb Mode (44 second Exposure)
Aperture 8.0
Iso 100
Focal Length 18mm
Canon 60d

Hope ive included everything, if not just ask

The B&W is nice, but I think you still have the issue with the composition being busy with no clear subject.

Understand what you mean Krusty. Theres something about the area i like so i keep going back, but theres little or nothing i can do without access to the jetty because of a metal cage, but i will get there hehe

If your objective is to simply capture the beauty of the marina from a normal perspective, then I'd say you've done so nicely. It's a nice photo but there's nothing about it that would draw me in to want to look at it for more than a couple seconds.
