Was there some artistic quality you were going for? To me, it looks like a snapshot that documents some masks you saw on a trip. Seeing the masks on a grass background is kind of strange...

You got it Krusty79, I tried to eliminate all distractors from the masks by using a consitent background, for your comments it seems it did not work

Thanks for your comments

Use depth of field to get rig of distractions(shoot with a larger aperture like f2.8 or whatever you lense goes to), those stands that they sell the masks on can add alot to the photograph as well. But as a rule sharp subject blurry background means less distractions.

I like the shot, but I think carnival masks are wickedly interesting for some reason. Well, I guess the reason is because Mardi Gras is such a big deal in my part of the world. The following is an idea I was playing around with back during Mardi Gras season.

Mardi Gras (French for Fat Tuesday) is a religious celebration that goes on for several weeks leading up to Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. Mobile, Alabama is the birthplace of the American Mardi Gras, but New Orleans is a little more famous for theirs.
