Gnarled tree roots

I have cropped, adjusted levels and dodged the tree. Is there enough detail in the tree and is the crop too close? Your thoughts are appreciated. Kathy

Hi Kathy

Love the gnarled tree roots and this is a very nice image. I think there is plenty of detail in the tree and like the way it's cropped. I do though find the gnarled tree roots fighting with the stream for the main focal point. I would suggest if this location is cloose to reshoot this with the tree roots postioned in the upper left third of the frame with maybe the water leading away.

Thank you. Good suggestion. Although the location is a couple of hours away and 1/2 a mile down into a gorge I will definitely give your suggestion next time I'm in that area. Best wishes, Kathy
