Your photograpgh looks amazing. Well done! I don't know if it's an illusion, but the horizon looks slightly off level to me. Could be my eyes though

I had a brief look at your web site and you have some terrific shots in there.

I think you're right about the horizon -- in fact, there's some pincushion distortion, too. Probably a really quick fix in PP. I really like the long exposure here -- it gives the photo a little mystery. Have you tried dodging the rocks in the foreground at all? It seems like there might be a little more detail in them.

Very nice photo.

This is really quite a nice image. Nice colors, great use of longer exposure. Good use of foreground interest.. simply put, a very nice image.

The one thing I'd say is that it all feels a bit centered to me. The sun and the major rock outcropping are pretty much centered.
I would considered cropping/composing placing the main rock outcropping a bit further to the right with more space to the left..
Still, nice shot!

Nice shot! I tried a levels adjustment and there is definitely more detail in the foreground you can bring out. I love the foreground and the long exposure of the water is cool. My only negative comment is that after my eye goes to the foreground, there is not really any focal point or main subject after that. If I could see the sun better, if you had some colorful clouds, or if there was a ship in the water, then my eye would naturally go from the foreground rocks to that. Right now, my eye goes to those blown-out spots in the sky after the foreground, but I don't think you would consider those spots your subject.

Or do the rest of you think the rocks are the foreground AND the subject?

I was thinking, the algae-coated stairs is the subject for this shot. Do you have any ideas on how I can effectively convey that. Thanks!

I agree with everyone else, this is a nice shot! Good use of long exposure!
I would agree with Krusty, I also perceive the front elements (rocks and the stairs) as a foreground, and my eye tends to travel on to the horizon after seeing them. Perhaps you could have included more of them and less of the sky (maybe no sky at all), and use the foreground rocks to lead the eye to the stairs, where water would just be a supporting background element.
