The first shot is Good but i would prefer it if you were closer to eliminate distraction from the foreground + the white light from the right.

#2 the second one is blurry, i take it here you didn't use the tripod ^^
as of the #3 and #4 i didnt know what your subjects are!! except lights every where..

keep it up

I have the same feelings as clearsky. Also, there may some distortion affecting the vertical lines in #1.

FYI, you're only supposed to post one image a day in the critique section and you're supposed to include your exif data.

I am in Adelaide too and I know how hard it is to take that first shot. It's near impossible because of the angle, the trees and the traffic. Try go a bit further near the traffic lights and take the cathedral at an angle instead of straight up? Or the other side of the road. I haven't really tried very hard at this location. And AFAIR I haven't seen a really good photo of the cathedral yet because it is so hard to compose. The street lights look overexposed, even though some people may like it but it also can be distracting for some others. Try reducing the exposure time a bit?

Don't know what to comment on #2,3, and #4 nice capture but I think crop the top part until u can just see the traffic, just below the street lights, and crop away the walkway on the right. If you have the chance to go again try putting the fountain a bit nearer to the middle (but not exact middle), I think it's too far to the left. Also try including the gondola (is that what you call it?? English is not my first language sorry lol) and the fountain in some of your shots if you can, you'll be surprised!

I'm not an expert and I'm learning too, but these are just my 2 cents.

On a side note, if you live in Adelaide I'm keen if you are for some little photo trips here and there. Taking photos by myself and have no one to share the passion with is boring!

Thanks for the offer kenichiukiya I don't get many chances to go shooting, these were taken after a night out with my wife, usually the only chance I get is on the way to or from somewhere else.
Thanks for the opinions. as for the posting of so many pics, sorry I thought it was four like everywhere else. the exif data i will add.

That does look better now. It is not really an artistic looking shot, though, but I know you are limited in how you can frame the building in your image. I was wondering how it would look if you took the shot earlier in the night, when there is still some color in the sky...

First off, on the cropping you didn't keep the left and right sides equal, there is more empty space on the left than on the right of the church.

Second, I would go back to the church and not worry about fitting the whole church in. Many great shots come from getting part of the whole image. I would get a lower perspective, much closer to the base of the church so that you can just fit in all three steeples. I think it would make for some great symmetry and would follow the rule of thirds.
