I like the composition a lot but the foreground, the river and the trees seem to be too dark. Actually i think its a bit underexposed. In my opinion this pic would be grate for HDR. Why don't you give it a try!!

That's a great sunset. I think you have to decide whether you're going for a full-out silhouette shot or if you're going to try to get the foreground exposed correctly. Right now, you're kind of between the two. If you wanted to try to get everything exposed, you could try bracketing your exposures and blending them or HDR as giannisna suggested. If you go the silhouette route, you can underexpose the shot so the pier is a silhouette and you'll hopefully still have the colorful sky.

I want to preserve the sky, I'll give it a mask and HDR process. (I wish I had it in raw) thanks a lot. @windrider86; I'm practicing "blacks" in my pictures. I need to play more with the ISO settings i guess. thanks. |
