Welcome to DPS!
We do like to have you put a little bit of thought/work into your post. Try asking something more specific (as outlined in the guidelines/rules) Look at your photo and ask yourself what you like or dont like. Put that down for us, gives us something to go on and how to help you better.

It seems like a nice promo shot for the city, but I'm not sure I'm getting anything more out of it than that. Was there something in the lines of the sign itself that struck you?

I appreciate the feedback, even thou I didn’t follow the rules. I will pay more attention to them in the future. I just picked up the camera last week, it is my first DSLR (Nikon D3100) and I am on the 30 day trial to Lightroom. (I am a student, so for 85 bucks I will be purchasing it when the 30 days are up). I have no idea what I am doing or what I want to get out of my work. This is just a hobby/art for me and I do not see me making any money anytime soon.

As far as the photo. I am an avid Geocacher (www. geocaching.com), and there happens to be one hidden behind the sign. I had the camera in the car so I thought I would snap a few photos. I guess I am interested in your thoughts on the contrasts with the blacks. The original photo was full color, blue skies and all. I darkened the blacks and adjusted the contrasts to give it the spookier look. The color photo was nothing special, but this makes it stand out more. I usually do not like B&W Photography, but it can help to make an otherwise boring image, something special.
Again I appreciate the feedback and plan on many photo shoots this summer.
