I am very interested in architectural photography and recently bought the Tamron 10-24 to start practicing and developing my portfolio. I am still pretty new to DPS and appreciate all comments. This shot was originally shot landscape and I cropped it to a portrait orientation. I was trying to capture the interesting detail of the exterior wall. The reflection of the small windows and the vertical splay and tilt of the metal panel. I look forward to hearing what everyone thinks. I'm very interested in comments on the overall composition and any processing errors. Thanks again.

In my opinion, it's a very nice shot, the right idea, and good perspective, but unfortunately, the wrong time of day. The shadow draws my attention right away from what you are wanting to portray. Tip: get yourself a Flickr account so you can easily upload your images and also show your work.

Yeah, that shadow is the first thing I noticed. A nice composition and interesting building, but that shadow has to go. I would also suggest cropping the non-reflective part of the building out on the left and cloning out that object on the grass in the lower left corner. If you could retake the shot, you might want to move to the right a bit so we can see the reflection better. I don't know why, but my eye is also drawn to those trees off to the right.
