Default Dandelion Shot

This is an early shot from my new D7000 with and old Tamron 28-75. I am trying to adjust to a move from the Sony Alpha system.

Exposure 1/500
Aperture f/2.8
Focal Length 75 mm
ISO Speed 640

The exposure and focus looks good.

The composition looks ok.
I wonder how it would look with a tighter crop (eliminating a lot of the green from the top an the first complete flower).

I do like it.

I like it, I think the extra space helps it, otherwise it would feel overcrowded for me. Cheers!

I would also crop the top green part. Focus is great but I think it would be even better with a slightly larger depth of field. Just enough to make two or three flowers in focus, instead of only one.

Btw, was it windy? Did you use ISO640 and 1/500 on purpose or was it set automatically by the camera?
When there is enough light you might not notice drawbacks of high ISO, but you could if you use it in low light situations.

Milosh. This was done during a misty, cloud filled evening, and yes it was windy. Been windy here for the last year, I think. Also, I just received the new camera that day and it was my first crak at the settings.
