Default picture taken at night time

hi guys, this picture for me is missing a lot of details due to the lighting, it was taken at night, i used the built in flash but it seems it didn't help a lot. any critique about the composition, color and a way to make it much better picture are appreciated. thank you.

next time don't use flash, mount your camera up on a tripod, and try out a slower shutter speed.

hi katia, but if i used tripod and slower shutter speed, i will have a problem with the moving ship, because that ship wasn't anchored. how do you solve this issue? ok will do that, thank you for reminding me about that, i will post the EXIF tonight.
