Default MT. Helix DOF

I've been practicing with depth of field also a little experimenting with a post production, black and white, sepia.....
Please let me know what you think over all of the photo.

B&W

Camera Nikon D60
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/1000)
Aperture f/4.5

I think you are trying to show the cross in the background but it took me a little bit to figure out thats what it was. If you can, I would pull back a bit so more of the cross is visible and making it easier to make out what is is

Not sure what you wanted to accomplish with DOF because you didn't tell us.

As for the b&w conversion I would chose subjects with more contrast.

If you were more specific you would receive better feed back.

I agree with the comment about not realizing there was a cross in the background, as I didn't even see it untill it was mentioned. Pulling back a little, I think, would make this shot a winner.

Thank you all for your feedback. It is very useful as I learn. I wish I had not saved over the original so that I could try to re-crop the image. I may just need to get myself back up to the top of that hill again and try to take a few more with my new advice.
