Default Framing using the doorway

It was taken during my trip to hamstead garden. It was a sunny morning together with my mates. When I was about to go out from the doorway, I could see a nice scenery and I thought I will grab this moment to take picture. Do you think this framing works in this image? How is my focus and colour?

Camera Canon EOS 500D
Exposure 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture f/8.0
Focal Length 30 mm
ISO Speed 400
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash off, Did not fire

The framing works for me as does the warm colours.
The blown out sky doesn't.
Maybe shoot at least two exposures (one for the garden and one for the sky and combine them when PPing).

I wonder how it would look with a person on the path to give it a bit more interest?

I agree with Richard, the framing and warm colors work and a person would add a lot of interest. Take a look at the doorway, it needs to be squared up. Looks like the building may be getting ready to fall over.

Nice work

I'd like to see colours and details in the doorway too, the red brick and black gate complementing the things it's framing... But then we're getting into HDR territory.

+1 on having someone on the path.

I think the picture needs to be squared, and it suffers from converging verticals on the doorframe.

I was going to suggest shooting from a lower perspective, but that would show more of the blown out sky. If you shot RAW, you might be able to recover some detail in the sky and blend the exposures like Richard said.

I think the lower perspective would be the way to go, deal with sky with in post processing. I like the framing and disagree with all the comments on it, no "squaring" is needed here, it works.

A person on the path may provide "interest", but wouldn't really do that much for perspective.

Nice catch, I'd keep it if it were my own.
