Default Sunset Over Plymouth Sound, England

Hey folks,

Not been around here much lately as I've not been using the camera too much, recently had all of my teeth removed in surgery, so not been in 'photographer mode'.

Anyways, I headed out tonight to try and get my first ever sunset picture. Took quite a few using various settings, and this turned out to be my favourite. Looking at it myself, I personally can't see anything that stands out at me saying 'you should have done this different', but objective views from you kind folks.

So please critique away. All advice welcomed and appreciated.

Sunset over Plymouth Sound

EXIF:

ISO: 400
Aperture: 4/3.5
Focal: 18mm
Shutter: 1/6

You've got a nice sunset gradient in the sky, but I think the image lacks a focal point. My eye does not know where to settle.

Yes that is a very valid point, now that you mention it. How would you have changed the above picture to address that, please?

Too bad you didn't have some clouds, but the colors are nice. I agree with needing a focal point.
