Hello,
What do you think about this picture, taken at Cocobeach, a beach north of Libreville in gabon. Thank you for your comments, Olivier.

Technical;
Exposure and focus looks good. Aesthetic. I feel the water in the foreground doesn't contribute to the photograph. I wonder how it would look with most of the foreground water cropped out (up to near the log).

I agree with RichardTaylor.
The water in the foreground is a bit boring and lacks any real color / texture. If you were to crop around the log or crop for more sky and less water, I think that it would be a bit more interesting. The exposure is great and I really like the amount of "drama" you've got in the clouds, so it would be nice to see a bit more of them. Also, you've got a great color contrast between the green vegetation and the person walking. |

It's a good shot. To me, the composition feels a little unbalanced, though, with the man and the log on the right side. I would suggest another composition where you would move to the right so you can use the shoreline as a leading line into the image and the man would be walking away from the camera.

Thanks for the remark. I have tried to crop as you said but I don't like as I want to show that the picture is taken from the sea.

I'm on the "too much water" bandwagon. Could you post the cropped version so we can see how it came out? It seems, at least in my mind, that if it was cropped below the log you can still tell it was taken from the sea. The colors and exposure are nicely done.
