What did you want to convey in your image? The age of the bridge? The contrast of the rusty bridge with the green plants? It will help us if you tell us what you were going for in your shot.

I`m a noob at this so take my critique with a grain of salt. I`m not sure what I am supposed to be looking at in the photo -- is it the grass or the bridge. As it stands, both are dominant details in the shot and the viewer doesn`t have any guidence regarding what you find interesting about the shot. If either the grass or the bridge was blurred that would go some way towards conveying what moved you about the image when you decided to snap it.

Just my two cents.

Thumbs up

Great shot.... I really like the three basic colours... it makes the image look really strong and bold. The sky is very nicely exposed and all the colours look very realistic.

Angle of view: If you were closer to the bridge look across it you would avoid the branches in the foreground and you could get a really interesting creative angle. Perhaps even take a close up shot of one of the red beams with the rest of the structure behind.

The shot doesn't look exactly straight to me.. perhaps it is slanty to the right?

Post processing: Here are some edits on photoshop I did quickly...

Layer adjusted... Clone stamp out some of the branches which are distracting and crop to emphasise the shape of the bridge...

This image lends itself well to some of the filters depending on what you plan to do with the image... This is what the cut-out filter looks like...

Well done on a great shot...

Thanks for the feedback! (Krusty79) I had traveled many times on interstate 10 going back and forth from San Antonio to Houston, Texas and I always spotted this bridge and was drawn to it by the rustic looking bridge and said that one day I am going to stop and take a picture, well I stopped! (Putian) I see your point, I could crop some of the grass out of the way to bring the focus on the bridge.....thanks for the two cent : ) (WPP234) The way the bridge was located you would have had to cross a ditch to get a better angle It was actually located by a fishing area so it was kind of hard to get a good angle!
