Default fall reflection

Hi all, This is the first time I've posted an image and I would appreciate any advice. In particular, is it too dark and/or should I saturate the colours more. Thanks a lot.

I need to ask, how did you take that photo? Is it reflection of leaves on water or...?

It's quite blurry and it was very hard to look at (for someone like me with astigmatism). Mind you, it was almost Monet-ish and this is fine if it's a painting, but in photography...I don't know. It just all looks like a motion blur to me.

I can't even focus on the colours (which also seems over saturated) due to the blur.

Can you give a little background on this photo?

Ok, so I've just looked again and it looks like tree reflections on water?

It's just too blurry, this photo, am afraid. And over processed to the point that the colours are "muddy" and flat, instead of vibrant (as fall colours should be).

Do you have the unedited version?

Thanks for taking the time to provide comments. It is indeed trees reflected in the water where there was a slight wind on the lake. There are also lily pads on the lake. Here is the unedited image. As you see, there isn't much in the way of post processing. Cheers.

I think if you were to capture the subject that is being reflected, in addition to the reflection, that would help. As it is, it looks like a blurry picture, there isn't anything that grabs my attention.

To me it works as an abstract.

Your shot looks surprisingly similar to this image Michael 2010 found that sold for a million dollars!

Just Curious

Not the type of shot that I personally prefer, but someone obviously does! Let me know when you get your million dollars!

I quite like it, it's got a real Monet-esk feel to it.. Good job.

I think it's a cool abstract photo. After looking at it for a few seconds, I realized this was the reflection, then I could pick out some details. Nice job.

I agree with Richard and others who feel it works well as an abstract. I think if it was me I would make a couiple of adjustments. First, I would adjust the levels a bit; it's a little flat right now. I would also consider rotating it 180 degrees to emphasize the abstract qualities. Give it a try and see if you like it.
