Hi All,
I want to ask if the negative space here in this picture gives the composition a solid look and feel of the cityscape. This picture was taken really early morning, sunrise almost started hitting the tower and it was a bit hazy. Wanted to deliver certain mood here, so let me know if it tells the story. I will first tell you that as important as I believe negative space to be, it can also be very difficult to work with. Here I don't have a problem with the space as much as I do the feeling that the buildings have been clipped a bit at the bottom. I also think I might move the buildings just a bit to the left. I see what you are after, and I think you are really close, but I do think I would make those two adjustments.

Actually the clipping in the bottom is to make the picture look like the city is emerging amid a hazy conditions. Why to move the buildings to the left? you mean to the right? Will a vertical version of the photo give a better perspective rather than this?h

I understand the intent, but I don't think you've quite pulled it off here. The transition from buildings to undefined haze at the bottom is too abrupt. It needs to be a more gradual fade.
