Default Burgess State Park Water Fall

This is a picture I took at Burgess State Park in Tennessee. The waterfall was very large and I took a lot of pictures, trying to get all of the falls in one vantage point. It wasn't until I reviewed my pictures that I came across this one. After playing with it, I liked it more and more. I wish I had another chance at this (but I think this is something every photographer thinks about)...

My questions - Is there a better crop with what I have here. Should I clone out some of the branches on the left of the picture to focus on the water fall. I have a regional contest next week and am thinking about entering this one in it.

Any suggestions.. comments.. would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for looking at my picture.

Jason

I started to get nit picky because I thought there were a few minor blown out areas, just behind the tree. However, on second glance, I don't think that's the case at all. Overall, this is a nice image. Sometimes the best way to shoot a waterfall is to capture a detail with something else in the image for interest/perspective. You've done just that. And, I like the contrast. Nice job.

Very nicely done! That one needs to be in your portfolio, for sure!

I like it. It has an almost Asian feel to it, like a Japanese screen.

Ooops.. Too late..

I was going to suggest you cloned out the stray branches to the top and left and along the bottom edge.. Basically anythng not attached to the tree directly.. It's just more about tidying the picture up, it's very nice, I just feel this would give a small amount of space to the falls.

I also wonder if the picture wouldn't look better flipped??

Just some ideas, like I said, I like the photo, I would just like to see some variations.

SwissJon, I did just that.. I cropped a portion of the left side and cloned over stray branches.

I never thought about flipping the picture. Thank you for the advice.
