Default Graphic tree

This shot was taken on a lovely bike ride yesterday... It's a magnificent old tree next to a radio tower near where I live. I wanted to achieve a bit of a surreal effect, but I am not sure, compositionally, whether the radio tower serves to create interest, or is just distracting. Would be open to critique on my choice of framing and composition.

Shot standing under the tree, with a Tamron 10-24 at 13mm; 1/160 with f/7.1. ISO 100.

Thanks for any interest or input. :

Personally, I find the tower distracting

I love the tree, but agree that the tower is distracting.

I love the sky in this photo.. Really menacing.. Complements the tree perfectly.. How good are you at cloning for that tower?

Thanks very much for the feedback. You all confirmed my suspicions. Here it is, sans tower. Am sure my skills could improve, but I think I managed to pull it off.

It looks great without the tower in the background! Great shot, and great job removing the tower!
