Default Neighbour's Window

I was doing nothing naughty, I swear
I was clicking the moon, when I realized these little drops of water on the bathroom window of my neighbor.

Model: Canon EOS 1000D
ISO: 100
Exposure: 8.0 sec
Aperture: 5.6
Focal Length: 300mm
Flash Used: No

Critique:
1. I have tried to keep a shallow DOF, does it look better, or should I have kept the entire window in focus
2. I have cropped the pic, n cut the lower left of the window so that the drops are at 1/3rd...is it looking wierd
3. Should I go black and white, or coloured?

TIA

I would prefer to see a tighter crop to bring more emphasis to the drops. Did you use auto focus or manual? I'm asking because the drops look a little out of focus to me (and dark). I know it can be hard to focus in the dark. I'm definitely no expert on B&W, but I read a good one should have blacks and whites with a variety of mid tones. However, I don't see that in your shot, so I would stick with color.

I used manual focus, cause AF does not render good results in dark.
I do notice that the focus could have been better.
A tighter crop would make the pic hazy as this already is a crop of a big picture
will try it though. but wont it make the window just ending suddenly?
will give it a shot and post it here

I didn't know this was already a cropped image. Maybe you'll just have to go back and try a few more shots with the camera focused at different distances. I'd like to give you more suggestions, but this isn't the type of shot I would take myself.

Careful Krusty.. With suggestions like that, this thead will end up in the Nude section

Not sure this shot is really a Cityscape.. More of a macro.

I guess there is some risk in taking this shot. I would not want to get caught and have to explain myself, especially if there is some guy in the bathroom.
